For those looking for a brief, plain text introduction with just-the-facts, you've found the right place.

What is Challenge-based Group Learning?

- Often referred to as "Team building acitivities", Energym utilizes a format where a trained facilitator poses challenges to the group. The group then engages with the challenge, with the wise and steady guidance of the facilitator, towards completion. Some challenges we succeed at, others, we Find Another Important Lesson. Challenges take all forms physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual (read: motivational). Some involve props and toys like hula hoops, blocks, balls, rope, and the like, others, simply our bodies and minds. Common elements include a goal, rules of engagement, and planning and reflection processes. It is through the exercise of the Experiential Learning Cycle coupled with Conceptual Modelling that Energym makes its long-term impacts in your organization.

What, specifically, can Energym help me with?

- Are your teams "full of drama"? Do you spend more time than you would like managing people? Do direct reports in your organization lack initiative and ability to accomplish tasks to satisfaction unattended? Do team meetings often become stalemate stand-offs between established rivals? Are group processes typically ending in "whatever works" attitudes to just "get it done", without any flare or inspiration packed into innovation? Are there individuals in your organization that you know definitely shouldn't work with other individuals? Does the product ever suffer when they inevitably have to? Is your "team" really just a bunch of "cliques" trying to edge one another out? Does your competitive edge in the market suffer due to a lack of collaborative edge in your organization?

- If you answered yes to any of the above questions (or want to challenge US with any others), Energym is what you've been looking for.

So What, Why Energym?

- Energym's philosophy and practice are aligned with the latest from the field of Social Cognitive Affective Neuroscience & Psychology. Energym's founder has studied group dynamics, leadership, emotion regulation, and mindfulness on practical, theoretical, and scientific levels. Methods proposed and practices engaged with are to the greatest degree of humanity's collective knowledge, based in biology, psychology, behavioral economics, and management sciences.

- Drawing on backgrounds from business, education, cognitive science, and philo-sophy, Energym articulates clearly what other companies hide behind vague slogans and wishy-washy statements: You can't shape the outside world if you don't first shape the inside world. We live and practice this statement at every level of our trainings, workshops, and consultations. You can't shape a team, if you don't first understand yourself. You can't shape a market, if you don't first understand your organization. By leveraging simple actions throughout the workday, project timeline, and product life-cycle, individuals, teams, and organizations can benefit from Energym's combination of conceptual modelling, emotion regulation strategies, social regulation processes, and creative production exercises.

- Learn how to meditate through crucial and high stakes moments, brainstorm the most innovative ideas, and build more than just a team, but a powerful and inspirational organization.

How does it work?

Energym's model is to provide what our clients need, in the way only we can give them.

- If interested in our services, please contact us to schedule an initial consultation that will include a briefing of the issues your organization is experiencing, the most crucial aspects that you feel are impacting the day-to-day environment, and an initial plan for diagnosing bottlenecks to success.

- Most often, diagnosis includes an office visit by an Energym facilitator during regular activities.

- Afterwards, a recommendation will be submitted for process improvement and human capital development.

Most recommendations include:

- a series of workshops (see our front page for details on each sort of experience) targeting identified dynamics bottlenecks, and

- a list of recommended daily adjustments to help optimize regular processes with a human-focused lens. These are typically little things individuals as well as teams can do as work commences, during work processes, and just after a work session has ended.
